อนุปุพพิกถา

อนุปุพพิกถา ๕

ธรรมเทศนาที่แสดงเนื้อความลุ่มลึกลงไปโดยลำดับ

เพื่อขัดเกลาอัธยาศัยของผู้ฟังให้ปราณีตขึ้ไปเรื่อยๆ

จนพร้อมที่จะทำความเข้าใจในธรรมส่วนปรมัตถ์

๑.ทานกถา เรื่องทานกล่าวถึงการให้ การเสียสละ

เผื่อแผ่แบ่งปันช่วยเหลือกัน

๒.สีลกถา เรื่องศีล กล่าวถึงความประพฤติที่ถูกต้องดีงาม

๓.สัคคกถา เรื่องสวรรค์ กล่าวถึงความสุขความเจริญ

และผลที่น่าปรารถนา

อันเป็นส่วนดีของกามที่จะพึงเข้าถึงเมื่อประพฤติดีงาม

ตามหลักธรรม สองข้อข้างต้น

๔.กามาทีนวกถา เรื่องโทษแห่งกาม กล่าวถึงส่วนเสียข้อบกพร่องของกาม

พร้อมทั้งผลร้ายสีบเนื่องมาแต่กาม อันไม่ควรหลงไหล

หมกมุ่นมัวเมา จนถึงรู้จักที่จะหน่ายถอนออกได้

๕.เนกขัมมานิสังสกถา เรื่องอานิงส์แห่งความออกจากกาม

กล่าวถึงผลดีของการไม่หมุกหมุ่นเพลิดเพลินติดอยู่ในกาม

และให้มีฉันทะที่จะแสวงหาความดีงามและ

ความสุขอันสงบที่ประณีตยิ่งขึ้นไปกว่านั้น

ตามปกติ พระพุทธเจ้าเมื่อจะทรงแสดงพระธรรมเทศนาแก่คฤหัสถ์

ผู้มีอุปนิสัยที่จะสามารถบรรลุธรรมพิเศษ 

ทรงแสดงอนุปุพพิกถานี้ก่อน แล้วจึงตรัสแสดงอริยสัจจ์ ๔

เป็นการทำจิตให้พร้อมที่จะรับ

ดุจผ้าที่ซักฟอกสะอาดแล้ว ควรรับน้ำย้อมต่างๆ ได้ด้วยอี

 which is the good part of sensual pleasure that should be reached when one behaves virtuously

 According to the above two principles

 4. Kamādīvakatha  About the punishment of lust  Mention the disadvantages and defects of sexual desire.

 along with the harmful effects that come from sexual desire  One that shouldn't be infatuated

 obsessive  Until you know how to sell it and withdraw it.

 5. Nekkammānisaṃsakatha  The story of the anxiety of leaving sensuality

 Talk about the benefits of not being obsessed with sexual pleasure.

 and to have the determination to seek goodness and

 Peaceful happiness that is even more refined than that."
